Funny how the world turns! |
|
Hello,
Thanks for getting in touch with me. Again, your project is wonderful. The troopies really appreciate the movies and popcorn. A very nice touch.
My unit is the 272 Chemical Company, part of the 42nd Infantry Division. We are all National Guard.
Interestingly enough, I am right up the road from Speicher at Summerall. I actually have a PLT located at Speicher, so we know this area well!
In fact we replaced the 1ID!
Funny how the world turns!
Anyways, thanks again for doing this for all my Soldiers, it is really a wonderful idea. If I had know, I would have taken a picture when we distributed the boxes to the Soldiers.
We distributed right before I went on leave, and there are not many un-opened boxes left! Sorry! Of course, you could always send some more over and we’ll take a picture!? Just kidding, we are lucky enough already!
Thanks, so much.

Soldier in the Battalion Headquarters |
|
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hintzke,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to send you a note of thanks for the wonderful shipment of "Take a Soldier to the Movies" goodies that we recently received from your organization. We passed out the packages to each Soldier in the Battalion Headquarters after one of our weekly Sunday formations. As you probably know from your son's experience, mail call is a double-edged sword. There are always a dozen or so Soldiers who seem to get a constant stream of mail and packages, and there are always a handful that just never seem to hear their names called. The rest of us usually fall somewhere in-between. Your generous and heartfelt project helped to make at least one mail call formation a joy for everyone. Unfortunately, it made me a little uncomfortable when my tent mates were leering at my Sour Bites candy, so I was forced to secure it in the weapons CONEX J
Thank you again for all that you do for our Soldiers, both home and abroad. I wish you the best of luck and good fortune, although it is clear that you are already blessed. Ephesians 6:10-20

You have brought smiles and laughter |
|
Thank you for your donation to our unit.
You have brought smiles and laughter to many soldiers as well as a relaxing evening watching “new” movies.
Your thoughtfulness is overwhelming and greatly appreciated.
We took a picture and will send it to you as soon as we can.
God’s Richest blessings.

I wanted to drop you a quick note |
I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for sending over all the movies and snacks to the Soldiers in my unit. Everyone felt a little closer to home being able to watch something new and have a little treat to eat along with it last night.
Thanks again for showing our Soldiers that they haven't been forgotten over here.
